Graphic Design Ideas
So… how difficult is it to create business cards, banners, flyers, etc.. ? How to create banners and flyers
No really, it is just a lot of practice. There are several software we use, such as Illustrator, In Design, Photoshop (you could use Corel, Quark and other software out there, like Microsoft products, there are also some free ones as well)
The BASICS are simple… Use your imagination and of course do what the client wants/needs and dont forget…. is it for web or for printing (commercial printing)?
Web Images They are done in pixels (yes.. you can do inches, centimeters) but the standard way to “size them” is by pixels -get used to it-
Resolution for a “web image” is 72 dpi (dots per inch) you can also do 96 dpi, best formats are .jpg, .gif and my favorites are .png (excellent for transparency and shadows)
So..Can I use an image I took with my 14 mb pixel cell phone? Of course you can. It will be a huge image when you “insert” in your website (you will have to adjust the size of it)
Printing Images They are done in pixels as well (yes.. you can do inches, centimeters) but the standard way to “size them” is by pixels -get used to it-
Resolution for a “printing image” is 300 dpi (dots per inch) as you know the tiny lottle.dots create an image… the more dots better the quality if the image (it’s also heavier)
So..Can I use an image I took with my 14 mb pixel cell phone for my postcard? Of course you can. I dont recommend you to do it. When you take an image with your “powerful cellphone or tablet” your hands shake, when you see them in your screen, it looks good but when you bring the same image into a graphic design software… it looks a bit blurry.
